Ann Arbor

Recently, Carl has been interviewing at different institutions for his fellowship year. Carl set up his interview at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor for the Monday after Thanksgiving so we could go there as a family (and it is only a couple hours from his Grandma's house). We arrived in Ann Arbor on Sunday evening and stayed through Monday evening, so we were only there for 24 hours, but it was nice to go together instead of Carl having to make the trip on his own.

We arrived right before dinnertime and chose a Thai/Chinese restaurant. I think this was William's first experience with Asian cuisine, and he did quite well.

Lily enjoyed playing with the chopsticks and drinking the bubbly strawberry-flavored tea (which tasted much like strawberry milk).

We stayed right in the heart of the college scene where the streets were lined with festive holiday lights. It was quite pretty.

William and Lily get a ride downstairs. Hey, you've got to do what you've got to do when you are checking out with 2 kids by yourself!

I love how your daughter is throwing knives at the dinner table whilst enjoying her strawberry drink.
