Every year the Missouri Botanical Gardens sets up a beautiful and very elaborate display of flowers and trains, the Gardenland Express. Lily typically does not get too excited about this event as trains are not really her thing. However, this year she was happy that they included several fairy gardens as part of their display.
The whole crazy family
It was Ingrid's idea to hit the Gardenland Express, and we were happy she suggested it. It was a great morning, and she even took the kids back to our house while Carl and I went to lunch together. We sure are spoiled by Aunt Ingrid!
And here's the photo with Santa. I guess we'll have to keep expectations low for group pictures with Santa for a while. We'll call one child looking a success. :)
We toured the grounds after seeing the trains. It was such a beautiful day - not what you would expect for December 1st, but we'll take it! Today was equally as beautiful so the kids were able to spend the vast majority of their days outside - hooray!
