We've had some fun with teacher appreciation gifts this year as you can see here with the "I couldn't have picked a better teacher" bag of strawberries. We went strawberry picking in May so we decided to send in a bag for Lily's teacher. I really do appreciate the fact that Lily had such a positive experience at her school this year, and obviously her teacher was a key factor in her success.
This was one of my favorite gift bags, given to the support teachers such as the PE teachers, music teacher and art teacher.
Clearly, I can't get enough of the play on words gifts. Cheesy, I know. I just can't help myself.
This was probably my best gift thus far, and I'm not sure that I'm going to be able to top it for future teachers. For the end of the year gift, the parents wanted to chip in to buy the teacher a gift card, but I wanted to spice it up a little. So I made a book based on the children's book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie called If You Give Ms. Wickenhauser a Vacation.
The book detailed all the fun things Ms. Wickenhauser would do over the summer with small gift cards to various places like Bath & Body Works and Barnes and Noble, etc. Then there was a larger gift card at the end so she could pick her own fun. I love the way it turned it, and I think she liked it too.
This is the class picture we put at the end. They did such a great job considering we snapped this picture in two minutes after recess and before lunch so as to keep it a secret from their teacher.
