Many may not know that Celestial Seasonings calls Boulder, Colorado their home. The company offers a free tour of their facilities that was both fun and informative. They are really proud of their hippie roots as a garage operation that has grown into a thriving company. Lily liked the Peppermint Room, one you will not soon forget. My favorite tidbit from the tour is that most of their varieties of tea are not actually tea at all. Who knew?

Okay?? So what is it if not tea...random roots and leaves?
Technically they are herbal infusions. If the leaf does not come from a specific plant (can't remember the name) that HAS caffeine, it cannot be called tea. True tea can be decaffeinated (still a little bit of caffeine), but it cannot be caffeine-free. Crazy but true.
Their marketing department has to clearly put "Ceaffeine free" on the boxes so that they can legally get around calling it tea because if you know that it is caffeine-free, you would have to know that it is not true tea. Everyone knows that, right?
