Lovin' Letters

It has clicked. Lily now "gets it" that letters are all around her, and she is loving it. She points out letters EVERYWHERE. She sees them on shirts, on signs, on the grocery cart, and of course in books. She really blew me away the other day when we were walking up the sidewalk to go into the house, and she picked up a very small twig in the grass and said "Y!" Indeed, it was. It is so neat to watch the pieces fall into place and for her to understand that letters and words are all around us. Lily is very excited and proud of herself when she finds letters too. Although this morning when I was getting ready, she was reading a book and pointed out a letter. I was very animated in praising in her, and she looked and me and said, "No, don't do it". Okay, message received loud and clear.
