On Saturday, we hosted a surprise baby shower for my sister Angela. Truly, I'm not sure that we could have scripted the day any better. The setting was wonderful, the weather beautiful, the food delicious and the people amazing. What a perfect way to celebrate such a special person.
The dessert and guest gift table. Heartfelt thanks to Aunt Kathy for making the pineapple love cake, Aunt Chris for the adorable cupcakes and fantastic display and to Susie for the fruit pizza.
Attendance gifts: Sweet pea shower gel
The dining tables each featured a gorgeous bouquet of flowers designed by my sister Suzanne's long-time friend, Beth, and a baby picture of each of Angela's grandmothers, my mom and Angela herself. The picture above is our Grandma Meyer as an infant.
We were so touched by all the family members in attendance. It made the day truly special. Above is our lovely aunts (my dad's sisters), Loretta and Alice.

The girls. And, yes, I know how lucky I am to have these ladies in my life.
The next generation of girls looking forward to welcoming the newest inductee. Congratulations Angela and Zach. We can't wait to meet that precious baby girl!
